30's SWANK Miami Beach Art Deco Barkcloth Vintage Fabric Yardage 6YDS Avail.

This SWANK tropical barkcloth was a staple when I was buying out textiles from decrepit Miami Beach hotels 30 years ago...it was a sophisticated yet fun large leafy print that surely would have had Mrs. Dorothy Draper's signature of approval. It was these exact prints that made their mark on South Beach some 80 years ago that captured a movement of popularity that was transcending to New York...Los Angeles...Chicago...but it was Miami Beach...America's playground they had their sights on to market their fabrics...and what better way than to have tourists fall in love with the tropical essence that exudes from what was a unusual...yet iconic movement of patternry and color of the time.

This offering is for ONE YARD x 49 inches of unused unwashed premier thick and nubby barkcloth...I have 6YDS available being sold by the yard...a stylish deco period neutral gray is the ground for which all the spectacular fun occurs...wild burgundies and pinks come together with varied turquoise teal greens...jadeite...mint...with a fabulous dark chocolate accent...and white leaves flowing in the background. Signed "Guaranteed to be Vat Prints"...this yardage hails from the late 30's to right about 1940. Expect immaculate. I have 6YDS in 2 remnants that are 3YDS each...so you will get as much continuous yardage as that allows.
