The 50's was huge on primitive mid century perspectives on the 1800's and early colonization. Paired with pastoral prints would make a very comfy 50's mid century style that would be infused with modern elements of architecture. Today these prints are used much in the same way and in an array of styles from country primitive...mid century and eclectic styles. This yardage...signed "A Puritan Vat Print Design Jamestown". A take on Colonialism and innovation of transportation from the 1800's that fed a whole design movement in the 40's and 50's colonial resurgence.
