I have a photographic memory...so when I see a fabric that reminds of my childhood...I snatch it up for the memory and ability to touch...feel and see it in person! Dr Schachter's orthodontist office in Ocean New Jersey circa 1976. It was used as a walk covering...essentially used as wallpaper in fabric form on one accent wall...it was fabulous then and it remains even more fabulous now as this is unused old stock yardage...colorful as all GET OUT...the kinds of color and quirkiness that really makes me excited.
This offering is for a few inches shy of 2YD (66"long) x 44 inches wide of unused unwashed fabulousness...a nice cotton canvas with funky tennis players cheering and acing the court...it definitely takes me back to that time of orthodontist appointments and tennis lessons at Allaire Racquet Club...where I learned to play the only sport I'd ever enjoy and be good at!!! A bold tangerine orange ground with bold darker oranges...cobalt navy...lemon yellow...and white accents with black abstract sketch lines. Signed "Wamsutta Mills". What a fun fabric to frame for a emerging tennis star! Expect fabulously and delightfully brand new 70's.
