One of my very favorite patterns...one I have barely ever seen unused...so when you have the opportunity to own a unused...unwashed salesman sample...it is a good day! These treasures were some of the first glance textile salesman and designers got to feast their eyes on...these samples were used both door to door to sell fabrics and also in the shop for lending ability. To me...a salesman sample is one of the most collectible of remnants for this reason and that its remains unused with such a wonderful story of being FIRST before the rest of the world has access.
This offering is for ONE unused unwashed salesman sample in this iconic Hawaiian banana leaf pattern...I have had it in black...and one time maybe 30 years ago I saw it in a soft aqua blue ground...never to be seen again. A thick nubby texture...with the greatest colors...bubble gum pink...true red...coral red...turquoise blues in several fabulous shades...dark lime...mint...chartreuse with black and white accents on a tone on tone gray leafy ground. As expected with salesman samples it is serged on the top and bottom and original selvedge edges with a single grommet at the top corner. if you love HAWAIIANA CULTURE...then this bad boy is sure to entertain. Measures 24 inches wide x 29 inches tall. Expect pure radiance...iconic...perfect!
