Can you even imagine for one second Joan Miro in the 50's chewing on some sour apple gummies to put him in just the right mood to create a 50's objectional...novelty...slightly kinetic of objects everywhere...based on Colonialism...but possibly Miro ventured into the story of Hansel and Gretel and the woman in the oven :) And so Miro did what he does best...he through in novelty...objects...and a palette of color thrown literally into the mix...it was after all the 1950's and it was an anything goes as mass production of goods made it all possible through consumerism.
This auction is for ONE YARD x 35 inches wide...I have 13 yards available...being sold by the yard...it is as brand new feeling and looking as if you just returned with your local fabric shop on Main Street in Anytown USA circa 1955...signed smashingly "A CoFabCo Washable Print Fully Guaranteed". A true red ground...and a wonderful pop of red that is...canary lemon yellow...cobalt blue...dove gray...jadeite green...chartreuse lime...with black and white...a texture of a medium weight cotton...maybe a very refined twill...great for any application from upholstery to garment...original unused...immaculately stored yardage.
