Design Tempo! I see this fabric and I see Joan Miro standing still while the objects fly around him...and I know he is in his glory...as am I! For many the draw of these fantastical designs are there abstractionary depictions that are biomorphic in that they are abstract leaves...but when you look closely you can see a whole world of activity...movement...like a fantasy toy land...where if you let your imagination run wild...these little toys come to life and begin to move fancifully about in a way that brings fun and delight to the brain...moving parts like that of a watch...the red leaf to me resembles a artists palette...the sqigglies confetti...and the turquoise leaf like a character "leaf" from a story akin to Beauty and the Beast :) It is these very nuggets of fabulous that bring a spark of happiness...something of a jolt or bump of design...abstraction...surrealism and of course COLOR!
This offering is for 2.1YDS x 49 inches wide of unused yardage. This unwashed yardage was made into a drapery panel at some point...hung for a few months and put away and never washed. A highly textured barkcloth with a soft dove gray ground...bright red...turquoise blue...chartreuse...with black and white accents...signed fabulously "Design Tempo A Joanna Fabric Vat Colors". The selvedge that has the signature is completely like original unused selvedge...the other side had a hem I removed and left as is in place...structurally perfect...a slight bit of evidence there was a hem. Everything about this yardage presents as new old stock...definitely one for the collectors. expect MINT.
