Don't we all want to be transported back in time...to escape life for a bit...checking reality at the door and just flirting with vintage fabrics...creating spaces as vintage nostalgic sanctuaries...and letting it take you back in time...in fantasy and reality...my home of reflective of my need to escape...these pieces of Haeger and McCoy pottery and pink ceramic flamingos and barkcloth draperies are simply my recipe for healing...I really believe we create our world through a healthy nest...if the nest isn't healthy...and reflective of who we are and what tugs our heart strings...then what kind of nourishment is your home exuding...when I'm sitting looking at my 20's wicker chairs bedecked with cottage pillows...I feel like I am somehow back in time...to familiar places...my grandparents bungalow...and the many old Victorians I've dwelled throughout my years...these old textiles are more than stunning beauty...they are HOME...
This offering is for ONE YARD x 35 inches wide of a unused unwashed 1930's textured cotton yardage...I have 5YDS available being sold by the yard...a creamy off white and this most fabulous deep dark charcoal dark gray blue...now the irony and serendipitous that in 2001 I sold this yardage while living in my Asbury Park, NJ beach house...just a few years doing ebay...I found this yardage at a cute little antique store I used to frequent in Point Pleasant NJ...a sweet little beach town with victorian little beach shops...I bought this yardage and a couple of other bolts of a pink and a lavender cottage floral...I was so excited...as excited as I am 20 years later back in my hands...giving me another chance at a textile kindredship...beautiful orchid purples and pinks...striking really...creamy gold...dark heather purple...lavender...asparagus lime...cocoa...chino...chocolate...but my friends it would not be what it is without that unusual fabulous creamy charcoal that makes this fabric very on trend with todays designs. Mint.
