By the end of the 80's the world was giving birth to a new revolution...a softening of minds and hearts...tenderness infused with coziness...old fashioned connected to old hearts...a style...vibe and lifestyle that would make the world a softer place like when our parents and grandparents were alive...it would be a movement called "Shabby Chic"...a revolution of people all coming together to commit to being softer...a way of living in a modern world while embracing old fashioned values of love and acceptance...a way of living that allows us to live our lives in the 1930's when we walk in our picket fence gates after world...medication for the soul from a harsh world...it is not about large oversized white sofas or tattered chippy paint...it is a representation of the minds and souls of a spirit of people who choose to live primitively in a modern world...a mutiny of do gooders who vow to carry on the namesake of many a mama...a nana...a pop pop or aunt...it is a place that exists more in our heads and our homes are a reflection of that...we are changing the world...
This auction is for ONE ready to hang drapery panel...I have FOUR panels available individually...of precious old school cotton...not a heavy textured traditional barkcloth...but a smooth lighter weight cotton/linen mix that'll send your head spinning with shabby chic delight...the beauty and originality created by mother nature herself...lending a hand in the decorating realm...for the shabby at heart in the 80's and 90's the sky would have been the limit at the height of beginning of the revolution...expect clean and washed...pressed and in stellar condition with just barely an overall fading just enough to send ya!! It is from the 1930's and as you can imagine became the original inspiration for designers like Ralph and Rachel who dominated the textile field using past inspirations...know this stellar timeless classic comes with a lifetime of memories and goodness from a life well lived...a lavender ground with every color of purple pink under the rainbow...grassy lime greens...chartreuse...creamy tangerine...burgundy with cocoas and chinos...with white accents. Each panel measures 25 at pleats...45 inches wide at bottom and 66 inches long...sill length is in! Expect perfect. AND LINED too :)
